    Student Services

IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT THE WILLIAM F. GOODLING REGIONAL ADVANCED SKILLS CENTER CANNOT PROMISE OR GUARANTEE EMPLOYMENT TO ANY STUDENT.

The ASC works in coordination with many local manufacturing companies, hospitals, retirement homes, and municipalities across many different educational fields.  It is part of the ASC vision to teach and develop unique skill sets that lead students directly to employment. With this goal in mind the ASC works with students throughout the year to ensure their career goals and academic successes are met.

Student Assistance does not begin when a student graduates, but when they first step into the ASC and begin course Work. It is an ongoing process between instructors, administrators, and students. The following resources are available, and students are responsible to set up meetings with the Director of Education and Student Services to initiate any out of class advising, job searching, or skill development sessions in the Learning Center.

1.  Advising
2.  Interviewing Techniques
3.  Resume Writing
4.  Skills Assessment
5.  Attitude
6.  Dress
7.  Job Search Techniques

Additionally, the ASC has a network in place to address students’ potential mental health needs, housing searches, advanced career counseling, academic counseling, and personal development and financial support.
