Grades, Progress Reports & Graduation
Students must show satisfactory progress throughout their program. Grades will be given at the 25%, 50%, and 75% point for each program.
Students must maintain the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) to stay in good standing. At the 25% point of a program students must maintain a 1.0 GPA, 50% point of the program and a 1.5 GPA, 75% of the way through the program and a 2.0 GPA.
Students must have a 2.0 GPA to graduate and finish the program within 150% of the programs original start date.
Students who fall below these standards will be placed on academic probation must increase their GPA by the next reporting period. Failure to do so will result in expulsion for academic reasons.
Academic probation may occur when students fail to maintain a Grade Point Average consistent with the Grades, Progress Reports and Graduation policy. Students failing to maintain appropriate Grade Point Averages at the completion of rwo consecutive progress reporting periods will be suspended for a period of no less than three months, after which students may request reinstatement in writing, and written to the attention of the ASC president.
Students who believe extenuating circumstances affected their academic performance and wish to appeal the minimum three month suspension must notify the ASC President no later than 10 business days after the date of their suspension notice, and attach supporting documentation as to why the suspension should be reconsidered. The President will rule on the submittal within five business days of receipt of the information. |
