Description (General Manufacturing)
The General Manufacturing program encompasses several courses covering preparation techniques (Oxy-Acetylene Torch Cutting, Air Carbon Arc Gouging and Plasma Cutting), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Dual Shielded Flux-Cored Arc Welding and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG). Each course includes advanced theory covering process descriptions, electrode classifications, join designs, electrical fundamentals, discontinuities and other important trade skills associated with the processes. This program is designed for entry level welders and will accommodate those who wish to advance their skill capabilities to flat, horizontal and vertical welding positions using each of the above specified welding processes. |
