| Description Industrial Automation, or Mechatronics, identifies and analyzes a wide variety of electrical hardware components and their electrical icon symbols, teaches the basics of photoelectric sensors; how to wire, setup, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic sensors, repair techniques using soldering and crimping techniques. Students will learn proper wiring, testing, and basic components of DC power supplies and to design a variety of electrical circuits, such as relays, timers, pressure switches, and operator controls. Students will also learn to design and recognize various electrical motor control circuits, the proper PLC instillation, PLC addressing, basic programming code, and the development of uploading and downloading capabilities. Troubleshooting techniques will be taught around these principles and pneumatic/sensor knowledge. Students will also learn about programming robots in the industrial setting. |
