This 6 course program is designed to introduce the student to the many different aspects of the automotive industry. Students will learn about a career as an automotive technician and different careers available in the automotive industry. Focus will be on work place skills, workshop safety, automotive systems, preventive maintenance, use of different hand tools, shop equipment, diagnostic equipment and specialty tools. Students will be introduced to the vehicle’s tires, wheels, suspension and steering systems that provide the contact between the driver and the road.
