The William F. Goodling Regional Advanced Skills Center (ASC) is a non-profit, 501c(3) post-secondary training and technology center with three main goals: 1. Provide industry-led training to incumbent workers, dislocated workers, new entrants into the workforce, including high school students, thereby providing programs that focus on “Technical” skills that lead to employment at family sustaining wages. 2. Work in partnership with community organizations, to centralize technical training, research, transfer strategies, and economic development opportunities, thereby growing the employment and workforce base of the region. 3. Build entrepreneurial opportunities, while creating employment and business solutions for economic growth by focusing on, and managing, a late stage technology transfer program. Since 2000, the ASC‘s mission has been responsive to the training needs of companies. This has led to programs that address a broader spectrum of needs tied to non-traditional teaching methods. The continued success of workforce and economic development depends on the production of skilled and knowledgeable workers and processes. We are proud to be a part of this challenge. |
