Description

The William F. Goodling Regional Advanced Skills Center (asc) provides industry-led education to incumbent workers in south central Pennsylvania. One of the ASC’s goals is to assist with the shortage of qualified training for companies, and incumbent training factors directly into that mission.  It is with that desire that the ASC developed their Customized Services Department for Maintenance Training.

A large number os companies can not fill their need for maintenance electricians. There are a large number of programs that teach advanced CNC and PLC use, but workers must have experience to take those courses. The Maintenance Program is different in that incumbent workers with no experience can enroll, developing the entry level skills necessary to transition to higher level maintenance programs. The ASC can even help place them into those programs when the time is right.

Companies can take advantage of this program to send hand selected employees who they want to transition into a new department, as well as workers who simply want to gain the skills necessary to advanced their careers.

The ASC wants to assist organizations in achieving their next performance level, as well as develop staffing and training plans to address "baby boomer" retirements. The Maintenance Program can help stop the growing skill gap that everyone is facing!

ASC professionals work with your organization to customize training to reach your strategic direction by providing services for everyone form the plant floor technician to supervisors and managers in need of a refresher.
