Description
The Apprenticeship Program is a metalworking educational program modeled around the requirements of the Tool & Die and Sheet Metal NIMS requirements on behalf of the Metal Working Skills Consortium of Pennsylvania.
The program addresses practical and theoretical needs to advance students to the journeyman level of competency,developing and expanding thier metalworking skills.
Most students are incumbent workers who want to expand their career opportunities.
The program includes detailed instruction in the following areas: Shop Math I (Basic Math-Algebra), Print Reading, Machining Handbook, Shop Practices, Materials, Jigs and Fixtures, Die Theory, Shop Math II (Geometry-Trigonometry), Applied Mathmatics, and Computerized Machining and Die Design.
